Mayor bets his shirt on England in Ashes

Boris Johnson promised to wear an Australian cricket shirt if the Aussies win the Ashes. The mayor had a bet with former Australian international spin bowler Shane Warne at The Oval, where they teamed up in an impromptu cricket match to help persuade 25,000 more Londoners to take up volunteering. Warne, far right, agreed to wear an England shirt if Alastair Cook’s men triumph in this summer’s series.
