Qafac hosts World Environment Day activities

The Qatar Fuel Additives Company (Qafac) has hosted an on-the-spot poster-making competition for children as part of observing World Environment Day 2013, which falls tomorrow (June 5).The contest, with the theme “Think, eat and save”, was held on Saturday at Katara.More than 250 people, including participating children, their parents and members of the Qafac management team, were present. There were 65 contestants. A panel of Judges from local schools supervised the competition. Nine winners from different age groups were selected and awarded at a ceremony.The event was organised by Qafac’s Health, Safety and Environment Department. Various videos on environmental issues were shown. Senior officials of Qafac addressed the gathering and congratulated the young artists.
