Qatar Tourism Authority chairman Issa al-Muhannadi has announced the launch of the QTA’s new and enhanced website. The announcement was made during an event held on the QTA premises in the presence of all the employees. The site has been designed to be simple and informative with the aim of being a functional and interactive resource for Qatar’s residents and tourists.The website, www.qatartourism.gov.qa, provides a structured and visual journey featuring different activities in Qatar as well as the authority’s roles, responsibilities and services.With updated corporate news and QTA-owned and partnered events, the portal integrates and presents tourism, culture and information in a dynamic manner. It also features key highlights of places and sections with the facility to find and book a flight for a holiday, check the weather and make hotel reservations. Besides, it highlights restaurants in Doha, listing entertainment, shopping, parks and natural landmarks.The new website is in line with the QTA’s vision to provide the most up-to-date services and promote Qatar as an entertainment hub.The website’s front-end and back-end technology provides secure login for all viewers and allows the portal to be fully customised on all mobile devices.
