Birthday celebration, panda style

Female panda Lin Ping enjoys various fruits during her fourth birthday celebration at the Chiang Mai Zoo, northern Thailand yesterday. Lin Ping, the first giant panda born in Thailand, is due to be sent back to China on October 12 this year to find a mate for breeding. Lin Ping was conceived through artificial insemination and the bear is the offspring of Chuang Chuang and Lin Hui, two pandas leased by China to Thailand in October 2003 for 10 years.
