Ezdan shareholders have benefited from the company’s investment strategy. Ezdan’s Wakra Mall will open in February 2014 and the Al Wakir Mall in January 2015, he said. Ezdan Holding is set to open a new four-star hotel by the year-end and it will be located on the North Road. He said Ezdan is now planning a compound comprising some 171 villas for high-end customers. By 2013-end, two “smart villages” are expected to open in Wakra. Ezdan is also working on a deal with telecom service provider Ooredoo. The CEO also said Ezdan is developing environmentally friendly real estate projects “very actively”. Ezdan supports environment and keeps adequate green spaces in its housing projects. The company has initiated a major plan of planting 22mn trees by 2022. “This one of a kind initiative is in line with the community development and outreach efforts of Ezdan to help build a green Qatar, which is once again a key feature of the Qatar National Vision,” al-Obaidili said.Ezdan Holding is a major participant at Cityscape Qatar- international real estate event, which will be held in Doha until May 29.
