Yoga session for BBQ members

BBQ members participate in exercises during the yoga session.

The Best Buddies Qatar (BBQ) members from Shafallah Centre for Children with Special Needs and Al Ahnaf Bin Qais Independent School for Boys have taken part in a breathing and yoga activity held  by Six Senses Spa and Sharq Village and Spa Hotel. The activities were selected to show students the way to relax and calm down as well as reducing stress through physical, mental and spiritual disciplines.The exercises also consisted of breathing exercises and an introduction to yoga.The trainer, Vishnu Prasad, commented that such exercising is very helpful for stimulation of body organs functioning, especially, combining breathing and physical activity improves the nervous, digestive, cordial systems, memory, concentration and body balance. It is know that breathing exercises and yoga has incredible effects as dulling the pain perception and increasing of intellectual capability. The participant greatly enjoyed practicing followed by healthy lunch, provided by Sharq Hotel. Spa director Francisca Antunes  said: “We are hoping that Best Buddies Qatar are happy with what we have managed to do. Our staff is willing to volunteer during their free time on a permanent basis.”BBQ works on enhancing life of people with intellectual challenges in its different developments.
