Technical expertise presented through SPE-Qatar

Alvaro Grijalbo, senior engineering adviser at Occidental Petroleum of Qatar Ltd (Oxy Qatar), made a presentation on “Rock, Fluid and Flood Characterisation for Miscible CO2 Injection in the Seminole Field Residual Oil Zone, Permian Basin”. More than 75 industry professionals attended the event.

The monthly technical presentations provide oil and gas professionals in Qatar with the opportunity to collaborate and share knowledge. Sheikh Faisal al-Thani, managing director of Maersk Oil Qatar and board chairperson of SPE-Qatar, said: “I would like to thank Oxy Qatar for its sponsorship and support of SPE-Qatar. I would like to encourage other oil and gas companies in Qatar to present their technical expertise through SPE-Qatar. In addition, our section membership continues to grow, exceeding 600 members, besides providing support to two local student chapters.”
