European home appliances manufacturer Bosch has re-entered Qatar with Darwish Technology, the technological arm of Darwish Holding, as its new distributor.

The official relaunch ceremony was held in Doha on Monday in the presence of several dignitaries.

“Qatar is growing at a rate well above its Gulf peers. We have also seen a need in the Qatari market for premium home appliances that offer superior quality. Besides, factors such as a favourable business environment and a progressive, tolerant and multicultural society bolster our confidence in launching the Bosch brand in Qatar,” said Matthias Ginthum, chief sales and marketing officer, BSH Group. “We can count on the experiences that Darwish Technology has accumulated over the decades. Most importantly, it understands quality brands very well. The partnership is important for us as Qatar is a growing economy and Darwish is a strong player in the retail segment.”

“Besides offering premium quality, advanced technologies, ease of operation and outstanding German-designed and engineered products, Bosch has also integrated the Green Technology Inside concept into all its products, which shows its commitment to the efficient use of resources,” said Bader Abdullah al-Darwish, chairman of Darwish Holding.

Mark Saunders, CEO of BSH Home Appliances, said: “Our key products include dishwashers, washing machines, intelligent water management systems and premium textile care, and no-frost bottom freezers. Bosch will also introduce premium freestanding gas cookers, built-in appliances and a wide selection of consumer products, including breakfast sets, food processors, vacuum cleaners and irons.

The full range of Bosch home appliances in Qatar will be available at all leading departmental stores, hypermarkets, kitchen manufacturers and others.
