Geetu Grover was crowned ‘Summer Queen 2012’ by Indian Women’s Association (IWA) at the Indian Cultural Centre last Wednesday. Garima Singh was the first runner-up and Tanushree Salani, the second runner-up. There were 13 contestants. The prizes were sponsored by Bombay Silk Centre and Gulf Incon.Indian ambassador Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa, the chief guest, crowned the winners along with IWA president Freny Siganporia. The event was judged by Tajmeel Qatar International Beauty Academy principal Beverly Crowther and fashion designer Darshna Saluja.A presentation on skin care by representatives of Tajmeel Academy was another highlight of the evening.
