Pakistan test-fires N-capable missile

Pakistan successfully test fired yesterday an intermediate-range ballistic missile capable of delivering a nuclear warhead, the military said. The Hatf-IV Shaheen-1 missile, with a range of 900km, was launched from an undisclosed location and landed in the sea, according to a military statement. The test followed the weekend launch by rival India of its Agni-II nuclear-capable missile that can strike a target at a distance of 2,000km, according to media reports.
