Malayalam newspaper Thejas is launching its Qatar edition today. This is the newspaper’s fourth edition in the Gulf region. The Qatar edition will be launched by Sheikh Najla Faisal al-Thani, director of publications at the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage at a function to be held at Tariq bin Ziyad Independent School, New Salata at 7.30pm. Teyseer Alooni of Al Jazeera television channel is receiving a supplement to coincide with the paper’s launch. The newspaper’s managing director P Koya, marketing head (Gulf Thejas) Ahmed Kutty and Gulf Thejas Qatar representative Mohamed Rashid are seen speaking at a briefing yesterday.
