The Qatari Businessmen Association (QBA) in partnership with Shoura Business Group will organise a seminar on “Business Etiquette and International Protocol Seminar” in Doha from May 20 to 22.The event was announced at a press conference at the QBA headquarters yesterday by QBA chairman Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim al-Thani. Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Thani al-Thani, QBA second deputy chairman and chairman of Qatar International Islamic Bank, Issa Abdelsalam Abu Issa, QBA secretary general and chairman of Al Salam International, and representatives of Shoura Business Group, Najat Raheem, Lamia Al-Barghouti, and Rima Arab, were present. Sheikh Faisal said the seminar is in line with QBA’s objectives in providing unique services for the Qatari business community, and aimed at attracting senior officials and executives in order to help them facilitate trade relations, reducing the cultural and linguistic barriers with their business partners, and providing a professional image for their companies. Issa said the seminar targeted Qatari businessmen/women and would help them in acquiring business skills and ethics as per international protocol. The seminar will take place at the St. Regis Hotel.Renowned global experts such as Alice Hecht, former chief of protocol in the UN and current protocol adviser at the UN Institution of Training and Research, Bertrand Leuba, Swiss professional and owner and founder of Etiquette Masters Company, Ibrahim Saber, lecturer at Virginia Commonwealth University on the Art of Film-making, Rima Arab, Certified Business Etiquette and international protocol consultant besides a Qatari expert in international protocol would lead the seminar. Wishing the seminar success, Sheikh Dr Khalid said Qatar has become a key business centre, where major international companies are located and which attracts business delegations from around the world.
