Olympus re-enters Qatar market, presents product line-up for 2013

The recently held Olympus product launch marked the re-entry of the brand into the Qatar market. The company’s product line-up and strategy for 2013 were also unveiled at the event. John Brooks, general manager (Olympus Europe), said that Video Home would be the exclusive distributor for Qatar, expressing confidence that this association would help the brand grow in the country. Fadi Ibrahim, area sales manager (GCC and Iran), provided details of the product offerings and strategy for this year. Highlights of the product presentation included the entire new range for 2013 along with the OMD (mirror-less/CSC) camera, which was presented last year. The 2013 Stylus line-up comprised the following new series: Pen, Creator, Traveller, Tough and Smart. C V Rappai, director and general manager of Jumbo Electronics, expressed joy at the association with Olympus and thanked the press and the dealer fraternity for supporting Video Home over the past 33 years. He thanked customers for their patronage of Olympus products in the past and requested dealers for their continued support in view of the re-launch of Olympus in Qatar. Sajid Jassim Sulaiman, executive director of Video Home, explained the technological edge of Olympus and wished the new venture a successful stint. Manoj Kumar J, assistant general manager (multi-brand), welcomed the gathering and hoped that the new venture would help revive the past glory of the brand in the market. Sanjay KC, manager (sales and marketing), proposed the vote of thanks.
