A security guard has been honoured by Carrefour City Center Doha for handing over a waist pouch, containing cash and gold totalling QR250,000 in value, he found in the dressing room.Pradeep Kumar Gonaduwage, a Sri Lankan national employed by Al Bateel Securicor, is the honest guard. The pouch, belonging to a customer, had 500g gold, US $7,020, UAE Dirham 23,000, Australian $ 5,000 and Kuwaiti Dinar 5. Carrefour management returned the pouch to its owner.Gonaduwage was presented with a certificate of appreciation by the management of Carrefour City Center Doha.Carrefour (Qatar & Kuwait) safety & security manager Nicolas Aramouni, Carrefour City Center Doha general manager David Zamagna, safety & security manager Abdulrahman A Sheikh, and Al Bateel Securicor general manager Pantalion Perera were present on the occasion.
