For the first time in the Middle East, British artistes with disability will perform at Katara from Friday. “The Arts and disability festival is a unique event held for the first time outside the UK,” said Hamad al-Kaabi, director of the Office of the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage. The official was speaking at a joint press briefing with the British Council in Doha to announce  details of the festival as part of Qatar-UK 2013 cultural co-operation. The event, scheduled to go on until March 30, will be open to the public free of charge. It will feature a variety of performances, visual arts, musical and dance shows as well as movies.
