Spanish cruised to a 3-1 win over Pakistan to enter the semi-finals of the Qatar Nations Cup on Saturday at the Al Wakrah Sports Club.

In the other quarter-finals matches France were held to a 1-1 draw by Syria before eventually winning 5-4 on penalties and Tunisia thrashed India 4-1, while Sudan ensured the final spot with a 3-0 win over Palestine. France will now play Tunisia in the first semifinal, while Sudan will try to contain Spain. The semi-finals will commence at 8.30am on March 15 at the Al Wakrah Sports Club.

The Qatar Stars League (QSL) has launched the tournament last month as part of a new community football programme aimed at engaging all communities in the country. In an exciting partnership with Qsports, experts in recreational sports and events, and supported by the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee, the QSL unveiled four new programmes to capture the imagination of both current and potential football fans throughout Qatar.
