Some of the most prestigious high fashion and luxury brands from Italy are participating in a series of fashion shows and interior design exhibitions which got under way at the St Regis hotel in Doha yesterday.The two-day event also includes two gala dinners, featuring food prepared by an Italian chef from the St Regis in Rome.Rome-based Italian fashion and interior design consortium, Altaroma, has brought some of the most famous names from Italy to participate in the event.Sponsored by Commercialbank, the shows feature the works of Ferrari, Riva Yacht, UFC with Rene Caovilla and Santoni, L’Oreal Professional and L’Oreal Makeup.Representatives from fashion houses such as Renato Balestra, Curiel Couture, Gattinoni, Antonio Grimaldi and Sarli Couture are also participating in the shows, as well as luxury interior designers from Provasi, Baldi, Molteni, Seguso Gianni, Villari, Vetrerie di Empoli, Arnolfo di Cambio, Roberto Cavalli Casa, Blumarine Casa and Versace Home.General director of Altaroma, Adriano Franchi said: “We are so excited to be meeting many of the most fashionable people in Doha, where we know there is a great appreciation of Italian art, culture, design and fashion.
