Bank’s Al Dana programme gets new rewards

As part of the 10th anniversary celebrations of its Al Dana savings programme, Doha Bank will give QR10mn in cash, 10 Mercedes E-300 cars and 10 vacation packages to the winners of its lucky draws in 2013.The Al Dana savings programme recently concluded a successful 2012 with the award of over QR12mn in cash and value-added prizes to customers.Monthly draws will be held to distribute QR10,000 among 20 customers maintaining at least QR1,000 in their Al Dana programme, while Al Dana Young Savers will have the chance to win prizes worth QR3,000 each in monthly draws. Additional quarterly draws will be held to award QR1mn to one person from all Al Dana customers maintaining at least QR1,000, besides prizes of QR500,000 per quarter for one customer maintaining a deposit of QR50,000 and above. All monthly and quarterly draws are open to both new and existing customers in all categories for eligible deposits maintained during the corresponding period. Doha Bank Group CEO Dr R Seetharaman said: “Doha Bank will be changing at least 325 lives in 2013, but we expect the impact of this campaign to be much more, by filtering through to the families of the winners, thereby amplifying this number. Four new millionaires will definitely be inducted into the Al Dana millionaires’ club in 2013. “More important than the value of the prizes is the fact that Doha Bank has tailored the monthly and quarterly draws to positively touch our customers and help promote a culture of saving and financial prudence among adults as well as our young savers.”Doha Bank head of retail banking Suresh Bajpai said: “To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the programme, we wanted to launch a campaign that really responded to the feedback received from Al Dana customers in terms of how they saw the annual draws becoming more valuable for the entire family. Luxury vehicles and paid vacations were some of the suggestions that highlighted and amplified the lifestyles of our customers, which is why we added 10 Mercedes E-300s and 10 holiday packages to the overall QR10mn cash prize pool, taking the total value of prizes awarded this year to more than QR13mn. It also makes the current promotion the biggest Al Dana campaign organised by Doha Bank in its history.”Al Dana will reward 325 winners in the monthly and quarterly draws during the year. The bank will give away the Mercedes E-300s in monthly draws held for customers who have registered for the Al Dana programme for 2013. Besides, it will award 10 vacation packages worth QR25,000 to winners in draws held through the year. These will include hotels stays and airline tickets. The winners will be able to choose destinations and travel time. In addition, participants of the bank’s Al Dana Green Run will receive cash prizes during the annual event in recognition of their efforts.
