Hannan XI beat Lagaan to clinch Champions Trophy

Hannan XI defeated Coca-Cola Lagaan team by 73 runs to win the Champions Trophy organised by the Lagaan Cricket Club.

Batting first, Hannan managed to post 204 runs in 15 overs. Rouf (78 runs) and Imran (71 runs) top scored for Hannan. Vital contribution also came from Niamath (49 runs).

In reply, Lagaan were bowled out for 134 in 14.5 overs. Nithin claimed three wickets, while Imran, Nazeer and Naveed took two wickets apiece.

Khalel Ibrahim al-Jaber  (Director Sports Affair - Qatar Olympic Committee), Magbool Khalfan (General Manger Arabian Exchange),  Laxminarayan (General Manager UAE-Exchange), Raju (Business Development  Manager – UAE Exchange), Imran (General Manager – Hazara Trading & Contg) were present for the felicitation ceremony.

The Man of the Tournament was Boota of Coca Cola Lagaan and he was awarded with a return air ticket to Dubai by Mannai Travels and a trophy by Laxminarayan and Magbool.
