The Pakistani businessmen community in Qatar recently established a new forum, the Pakistan-Qatar Business Forum (PQBF).The newly-elected office-bearers, led by president Pervez Iqbal, recently called on the Pakistan Ambassador to Qatar Mohamed Sarfraz Ahmed Khanzada.They briefed him about the future plans and objectives of the forum.During the meeting, a draft of PQBF constitution was also presented to the ambassador for formal approval.The constitution was drafted after deliberations and proposals received from leading Pakistani businessmen, who also unanimously elected the office bearers.Ambassador Khanzada will act as the forum’s patron-in-chief.Said Gul, Mohamed Khan and Saleem Khattak will form the board of executive members.Mohammed Idrees Anwar, who took the initiative for formation of the PQBF, was also present on the occasion.The ambassador congratulated the members and expressed the hope that the forum would play a major role in strengthening bilateral trade ties between the countries.Anwar highlighted the key features of the forum which is a non-profit and voluntary association of individuals and companies established with a view to promoting trade and investment between Qatar and Pakistan.
