Children of Palestinian martyrs visiting Doha

QNA/Doha Children of Palestinian martyrs and their escorts arrived this evening from the Gaza Strip on a week-long visit at the invitation of HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. Member of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, Ahmed al-Zuwaidi, who received the group numbering 61 persons, including 45 children and 16 escorts, said that the visit of the Palestinian delegation followed HH the Emir’s visit to the Gaza Strip recently when he met with martyrs’ children. He said the visit was a culmination of HH the Emir’s initiatives for the Palestinian people, the people of Gaza and the children of martyrs in particular. Al-Zuwaidi added that HH the Emir’s sponsorship covered all aspects including, the provision of decent living as well as housing, hospitals, schools and compensation for war, adding that HH the Emir has sought to alleviate the suffering of the Palestine people, taking into consideration humanitarian and moral aspects. On the role of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, al-Zuwaidi said it is responsible for reconstruction projects as well as humanitarian projects covering basic services that are not available due to the Israeli aggression against Gaza. Member of the Palestinian delegation Khaled Abu Odeh expressed deep thanks, gratitude and appreciation to HH the Emir and the people of Qatar who have always supported the Palestinian cause and the rights of Palestinian people. Meanwhile, a number of the martyrs’ children appreciated the gesture of HH the Emir and thanked the leadership and the people of Qatar, noting it was the first time they had left the Gaza Strip.
