World GTL Congress begins today in Doha

The global gas-to-liquids industry will be on the spotlight at the World GTL Congress, which gets underway at the St Regis Doha this morning.

Among the topics to be discussed at the congress include the present and future state of the GTL industry, GTL financing and GTL plants’ operations technology.

Delegates from across the globe are attending the congress that will be held under the patronage of HE the Minister of Energy and Industry Dr Mohamed bin Saleh al-Sada. The event is organised by the International Quality & Productivity Centre and hosted by QP.

The opening address will be delivered by RasGas managing director Hamad Rashid al- Mohannadi. Keynote addresses will be delivered by Qatar Airways CEO Akbar al-Baker, Qatar Shell chairman and managing director Wael Sawan and Tasweeq CEO Saad al-Kuwari.
