Chocolate lovers in Qatar will be pleased to hear that the InterContinental Doha The City has opened its chocolate emporium, ‘Criollo’ which will be open from 6AM until 10PM every day.Criollo will feature chocolatiers demonstrating chocolate making every day from 9AM until 5PM.The news coincides with research published recently which suggests that chocolate may assist in losing weight, giving chocaholics two reasons to celebrate. The name Criollo originates from the cocoa bean of the same name, which is the rarest and most expensive of the three types of bean, explained a spokesperson, adding that the outlet uses premium ingredients including Valrhona chocolate, to produce a wide range of cakes, truffles and various other delicacies.“Serving up an array of concoctions, including decadent passion fruit and white chocolate, as well as matcha yuzu which combines chocolate with green tea and Japanese yuzu juice and the more exotic dark chocolate infused with cumin, Criollo’s team is innovative and knowledgeable on the latest confectionary trends,” added the spokesperson.General manager of InterContinental Doha The City, Renzo Cavagliotti said: “Premium, fresh ingredients and the skill of Criollo’s chocolatiers bring a new level of indulgence to Doha, with InterContinental Doha The City introducing the city’s first destination for everything chocolate. As a place to find a gift for friends and family, or a way to celebrate a special occasion, Criollo will become a must-visit location for anyone who loves fresh, world-class chocolate delicacies.”
