Four cars were involved in a collision at the Ramada signals on Thursday but nobody sustained serious injury, according to sources. “It was a frightening sight. But fortunately everyone emerged unhurt except for minor injuries sustained by the driver of the sports car which caused the collision and the driver of a Karwa taxi,” said a report in the local Arabic daily Al Watan. The driver of the sports car lost control because of excessive speed and hit the signals and damaged the street furniture. The three vehicles that were behind him among which one was with a Kuwaiti number plate rammed against each other. It was because of the prompt rescue operations launched by the Traffic Police that all were saved without any serious injuries in spite of the fact that the sports car was totally damaged and almost reduced to a flat piece of metal, said the report.
