Pakistanis bid farewell to outgoing attaché

Members of the Pakistani community bade farewell to Dr Mansoor A Rizvi, the outgoing community welfare attaché, at a programme in Doha recently.The event was organised by Noor Maeen Afridi, managing director of Noor AlFerdous Trading and Contracting Co.It was attended by a large number of prominent community members, besides Pakistani ambassador Mohamed Sarfraz A Khanzada.Rashid Nizam, the new community welfare attaché replacing Rizvi, was also present.Dr Rizvi, who arrived in Doha in December 2008, has also served as vice-chairman of Pakistan Education Centre’s Board of Governors (BoG) during his four-year tenure. He is returning to Pakistan today to take up a new post in Karachi.Dr Rizvi played a key role in redressing Pakistani workers’ problems. He served the countrymen without any discrimination and was always available to help those in distress. His friends and colleagues said they would always remember him for his down-to-earth nature and for his dedication to his job.
