ocal community and RasGas’ Year of Health initiative by donating a variety of sports-wear during the Annual RasGas Employee Forum held at the Qatar National Convention Centre. Hamad Rashid al-Mohannadi, RasGas’ Managing Director, said: “The response to our Year of Health campaign has been phenomenal. At RasGas, we believe in making a difference in our community. Just looking at the volume of donations received makes it very clear to me that this sentiment reaches far and wide.”This latest initiative is part of RasGas’ Year of Health campaign, which aims to promote healthy and active lifestyles among employees, their families and the wider community. Each employee was asked to bring sports clothing suitable for all ages to the Employee Forum on Wednesday night. All sports items will be donated to Qatar Charity and distributed to needy families in the community. Al-Mohannadi kicked-off the forum with some of the most notable achievements for 2011, such as RasGas’ outstanding safety performance; its impressive reliability and deliverability statistics;  the stone laying ceremony for the Barzan Gas Project; new supply agreements and the Qatarisation process, which surpassed targets, with nationals now representing 33% of all employees.  Al-Mohannadi said: “These business goals have been achieved while maintaining a strong commitment to the four pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030 and in alignment with the Qatar Development Strategy 2011-2016. Such outstanding achievements would never have been possible without the consistently high performance of our talented employees who are highly engaged, enthusiastic and committed to achieving the company’s business plans and goals.”
