A 60-year-old woman was injured on Saturday after a part of the ceiling of a kiosk located at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 collapsed, airport police said.
Airport Physician Angelica Corpuz said that the woman, identified as Nieves Jacinto Favis, was rushed to the St Luke’s Hospital in Bonifacio, Global City in Taguig after an aluminum block, which is part of the ceiling, fell on her head at about 8:45am. Favis, who suffered laceration and hematoma, was a passenger in the Philippine Airlines flight PR-318 bound for Hong Kong. Airport Manager Cecilio Bobila said the incident occurred inside the Goldilocks kiosk at the pre-boarding area while a store crew was cleaning the ceiling. Goldilocks management, meanwhile, assured that they would pay for all the medical expenses of the passenger. — Manila Times
