Minister inaugurates ‘Coloured Tales’ expo

HE the Minister of Culture Dr Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari has inaugurated the third “Coloured Tales” exhibition, hosted by the Girls Creativity Centre. This year’s event exhibits works by 44 female artists.The minister was accompanied by Salem al-Halbadi, ConocoPhillips HR director (Qatar).Al-Halbadi said, “ConocoPhillips is happy to maintain its sponsorship of the Girls Creativity Centre’s “Coloured Tales” exhibition and related activities. Although this is my first visit to the centre, I am impressed with the creativity and talent displayed in the various exhibits by the GCC artists, young and younger.”“At ConocoPhillips, we have every faith that empowering women in any community will foster national development and growth – a belief that we share in Qatar, with HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, the Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF).   “We also cherish our partnership with the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage, represented by Minister al-Kuwari, a staunch supporter of culture, arts and heritage in Qatar in general, and GCC activities in particular.I would also like to commend and thank the management of the Girls Creativity Centre for its excellent and recurrent efforts to host such exhibitions of fine arts.”
