British Council courses help 65 educators enhance skills

Three professional development courses were conducted by British Council Qatar for educators during the recent Spring break holidays.In all, 65 educators, including teachers and co-ordinators from Independent Schools, attended the fortnight-long courses for continuing professional development.Two courses are part of the British Council’s English Global Products range, namely Teaching Speaking and a Mentoring Skills Course, developed in the UK by English Language experts.The final course in offer was about using stories to integrate content and language into the classroom. The participants incorporated accompanying maths and science activities into the stories they created.Caroline Cameron, the English Projects Manager at British Council said similar courses will be run throughout the academic year.
