‘Village festival’ in Al Khor

Hundreds of Indonesians and other nationalities came together yesterday afternoon at Al Khor to celebrate “Kampoeng Festival” (Village Festival) organised by Al Khor Comumunity in association with Rumah Kita, a non-profit charity organisation run by the Indonesian youth living in Qatar. Indonesian ambassador Deddy Saiful Hadi and other dignitaries were present. The fair showcased many cultural activities and a carnival with traditional dance and music, Indonesian food and textile bazaar, bicycle parade and a fashion show by children, with proceeds meant for charity.
