The Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) which was inaugurated by HH the Heir Apparent Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani at a special function held in the Emiri Diwan on Tuesday will serve as a strong incentive for the youth of this country in developing their leadership skills and help in developing indigenous human resources in a phased manner.This was stated by Abdulla Tajer al-Sada, a member of the first batch of young men chosen for the maiden programme.Speaking to the press he expressed his gratitude and indebtedness to HH the Emir and HH the Heir Apparent on behalf of all the participants for introducing this novel scheme. Al-Sada who works as a telecommunications engineer for the Al Jazeera channel said by attending this programme he hoped to gain new vistas of knowledge and be trained in different aspects of administration, public relations and team work. He will also get to know the intricacies of strategic planning and professionalism in one’s work.He hoped that his team-mates would fully avail the benefits of this unique programme and emerge as confident and well-rounded individuals who can bear the responsibilities in diverse fields.“We can look forward to be the leaders of future in the local, regional and international arena,” he said.Everyone in this first batch should take to the tasks assigned to him seriously and help in making this programme a success so as to be a model for the subsequent batches, he said.
