Doha Bank unveils ‘Traveller Card’

Doha Bank has announced the launch of the ‘Traveller Card,’ created in partnership with Regency Travel and Tours, helping customers make savings while travelling across the world.The card can be used locally and internationally for ATM cash withdrawals and purchases, as well as Internet transactions.“Traveller, the exceptionally unique re-loadable pre-paid travel card is designed to satisfy Qatar’s cosmopolitan residents’ desire to travel at all seasons throughout the year,” said a spokesperson, adding “the Traveller is just as reliable a friend for those seeking higher education overseas or wanting to make online purchases while sitting at home in Qatar.” The card will be available in three currencies, US dollar, Euro and Pound Sterling, meaning that customers will not be affected by currency conversions when purchasing abroad.The card is also protected against counterfeiting through EMV compliance, and expenses can be tracked through free SMS alerts. Doha Bank CEO R Seetharaman said: “We are proud to partner with Regency Travels, your household name for all your travel desires. Our co-branded Traveller card will provide you with exchange rate related benefits to make your journeys relatively inexpensive and more convenient. “This comes in line with Doha Bank’s desire to deliver innovative products and services to all its customers whether in Qatar or abroad because we care about delivering customers’ expectations and meeting our customers’ needs wherever they may travel around the world,” he added CEO and chairman of Regency Travel and Tours, Tareq Abdullatif Taha noted: “Regency provides a full portfolio of travel related services to customers, and we are privileged to collaborate with Doha Bank to add the travel pre-paid MasterCard on to these services. “Customers can now enjoy a one-stop solution to their travel requirements when visiting Regency as they can purchase the card instantly over the counter,” added Taha.
