IBQ staff win top positions

IBQ staff at the QCB Sports Day Race on the Corniche
IBQ management and staff participated yesterday in the Qatar Central Bank’s (QCB) Sports Day Race along Doha’s Corniche, with staff winning top positions in different categories. The QCB Race brought together personnel representing various banking and financial institutions in Qatar actively celebrating the country’s very first National Sports Day.Kimberly Nicola and Czarina Corona Almero won the first positions in two different categories, Ian Hudson took second, and Nancy Khalil and Rima Kanaan came among the top 10 runners. The 3km QCB Sports Day Race, organised in association with all banks in Doha including IBQ, got the starter’s gun at Al Bidaa Park with the finish line at the QCB premises. IBQ managing director George Nasra: “We’re very happy to take part in the QCB Sports Day Race with a large number of participants and to join our peers in sending a very strong message on the significance of sports to the community in general. “We’ve also been devout supporters of different initiatives that aim at bringing people together under the theme of awareness and education and we believe that this particular race transcends the corporate boundaries to perfectly embody this objective.”
