PPP officials meet Gilani

A delegation of senior officials from Pak People Welfare Association (PPP) met with Pakistani Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani during his recent visit to Doha and discussed a number of topics.PPP president Azim Khan, senior vice presidents Jalees Anwar Bangash, Usman Khan Tarakai, vice presidents Malik Sarfaraz Khan, Sheraz Khan Orakzai, deputy general secretary Riaz Butt, finance secretary Aftab Ahmed, joint secretary Mian Ahsan-Ulah, and executive committee members Qabir-u-din Khan, Haji Eshaq and Behran Usman Khan were present.The Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Dr Asim Hussain, Federally Administered Tribal Areas Parliament member Munir Khan Orakzai and Member of National Assembly Usman Khan Tarakai. The PPP president briefed Gilani about the problems of overseas Pakistanis, especially workers are facing. A PPP statement said the Prime Minister took note of the suggestions and asked head of the foreign desk Fozia Habib to initiate immediate action.“Gilani also approved a request from PPP officials to grant a senate ticket to former Minister Ahmed Hassan Khan who is an important member of the party,” the statement said.The Prime Minister appreciated Azim Khan’s services for Pakistan Education Centre and directed the ambassador to appoint him again on the school board, the statement added.
