The Safari Mall in Abu Hamour is giving away six Toyota Fortuners in a span of three months starting tomorrow when the shopping centre’s opens its first anniversary celebrations.Group officials said yesterday that a lucky winner will be picked once a fortnight from raffle coupons that would be issued against a minimum purchase of goods worth QR50. The lucky winners will get 2012 Toyota Fortuner. To coincide with the anniversary, the group will also give special gifts for those customers whose date of birth falls tomorrow. The customers need to register their names at the Safari customer service counter. They also need to produce their Qatari ID latest by today evening. The company officials will also cut a giant cake to mark the anniversary and will cut cake for those customers whose birthday come on October 18. The company plans to give an electronic dream gift to 10 lucky customers. Gifts include a 32” LG LCD, Hitachi double-door 320l refrigerator, Sansui cooking range, Sharp microwave 231, 5.5kg Samsung front loading washing machine and a Moulinex food processor. Another major attraction of the anniversary celebrations is Flavor 2011, a festival of cuisines where Arabic, Indian, Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, Filipino and Pakistani delicacies would provide a treat to food lovers.A recipe contest for ladies on October 22 is another highlight. Group officials recalled that in the first year of their operations, Safari Mall was the only mall in the country to hold the highest number of promotions, including one where the winner won a cash purse of QR1mn. Twelve cars were given to the winners of ‘One Toyota Corolla each a week’ promotion, they said.The company officials said the food court at the mall has attracted several nationalities every day and more restaurants are coming to the place in coming days. Chennai-based Saravana Bhavan’s second outlet in Doha is starting at the food court shortly, they said.
