Doha resident C K Menon was among the 15 personalities and business leaders honoured by global forum World Malayali Council (WMC) at a meeting held in Kochi city of Kerala recently.Menon, who is the CEO of Doha-headquartered Behzad Group of Companies, was honoured for his achievement in international business. At the meeting, Menon’s son and group vice-chairman Jayakrishnan Menon received the award on behalf of his father from Indian federal minister for civil aviation and overseas Indians affairs Vayalar Ravi. Doha resident John Thomas was also honoured on the occasion by the organisers in appreciation of his continuous support to the activities of the WMC. Thomas is the global managing director of Horeitia Group.Besides Vayalar Ravi, Indian minister for food and civil supplies K V Thomas and WMC chairman Soman Baby were among others who spoke.Besides Menon, others feted at the function were playback singer K J Yesudas, principal secretary to prime minister of India T K A Nair, cardiac surgeon Dr K M Cheriyan, Muthoott Group chairman M G George, Leela Group chairman Captain Krishnan Nair, Gokulam Gopalan of Gokulam Group of Companies, Abdul Azeez of Skyline Builders, E M Najeeb of Air Travel Enterprises, V P Nandakumar of Manappuram Finance, Joy Alukkas of Joy Alukkas Group and M P Ramachandran of Jyothy Labs.
