Qatargas, in co-operation with the Ministry of Interior’s (MoI) Traffic department, is distributing Iftar dates and road safety information packs, for motorists at major junctions and roundabouts across the country, as part of the MoI led Ramadan road safety campaign. The initiative is aimed at educating motorists on the significance of safe practices on roads, especially at Iftar time when motorists could tend to rush in a bid to reach home in time to break the fast, sometimes ignoring the risks involved. Police patrol personnel continue throughout Ramadan to distribute the packs supplied by Qatargas, which contain dates, water, a Ramadan calendar and a road safety information booklet. Qatargas’ support for the Ramadan road safety campaign forms part of the company’s corporate citizenship initiative, which seeks to improve the lives of the people of this country.
