Commercialbank recently sent a team to London for a key development course in Private Banking.
This was in line with its focus on providing ‘excellent products and services’ to key customers, the bank said. The team undertook an intensive training course conducted by Euro Money Financial Training, which was developed specifically for ‘private bankers’ and conducted by experts with extensive knowledge of the market, the industry and the players. The participants were educated on the latest practices in private banking, from all perspectives, including asset allocation, estate planning and management skills necessary to effectively deal with Ultra High Net Worth clients. Attendees also had the opportunity to network and discuss Private Banking initiatives and practices with peers from around the world. Tony Sareen, Commercialbank Senior Vice President, who heads the Private Banking team said: “Essentially private bankers need to consistently enhance their existing skills and knowledge to remain effective in their ability to provide bespoke financial solutions to clients. Private banks based in Qatar are increasingly competing with their international peers, who are operating with different cost structures and fees. To remain effective, private banks must adapt their business model and regularly train their staff.“With a customer base that is becoming more varied and increasingly demanding, this course will also benefit our clients through our private banking team gaining a stronger understanding of asset allocation and risk diversification. This greater depth of knowledge will help us recommend broader wealth management solutions that match each client’s risk appetite and investment goals, further helping Commercialbank to achieve banking excellence.”
