Qatar and Algeria hold talks on ties

HH the Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani and Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika yesterday held a session of talks in Zaralda, the State residence in Algiers. The session was attended by the members of the official delegation accompanying the Emir. On the Algerian side, the talks were attended by President of the Council of the Nation, Abdelkader Bensalah, Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and a number of ministers. Talks during the session dealt with bilateral ties between Qatar and Algeria and means of enhancing them besides the recent developments in the region and a number of international issues. HH the Emir attended a luncheon banquet hosted by the Algerian President in honour of the Qatari delegation.The Emir later left Algiers ending a one-day visit. He was seen off at Houari Boumediene airport by the Algerian President and other officials.
