Former Doha student Siddharth Ganji recently won top honours at the film festival in Houston for a film that he directed and produced, according to family sources.Ganji, who is a student at Franklin & Marshall College Lancaster, Philadelphia, directed and produced the film Flutter which was chosen for Gold Remi award at the Houston festival. Ganji studied at the Doha Academy until 2006.The film festival in Houston is said to be the third oldest in the USA, after Tribeca and Sundance festivals.While studying in India’s Mahindra United World College in Pune before moving to the US, Siddharth had produced and directed a documentary on social life in the Asian country.In between he also had an educational stint at the University College, London, where he studied Experimental Economics and European film studies.
