The Indian classical concert by Padma Shri Aruna Sairam, organised by the Music Lovers Group at the Ramada Hotel on Friday, turned out to be a memorable experience for the audience.This was evident by the unanimous and rapturous applause that followed each song, culminating with a standing ovation.The noted singer presented a powerful bouquet of some of the choicest compositions across an array of popular composers. With her rich and resonant voice, an inimitable style of expression and rendition, she touched the heart of every member of the audience who sat spellbound. Bhaskar on the violin, Sai Giridhar on the mridangam and M Murali on the ghatam excelled in their accompaniment.Bhaskar’s interludes as well as the grand percussion duet by Murali and Giridhar were also outstanding.
