The Qafco Flower and Vegetable Show 2011 was held yesterday with a number of participants winning in more than 100 categories.Three participants were selected from each category for having keenly contested throughout the competition.In total, there were classes A-Z which includes flowers, fruits and vegetables, pot plants, flower arrangements (for amateurs), junior section, garden and carving (for amateurs).There were also live competitions including drawing and carving.First position in each category of all classes except classes F, H, I and J received trophies and rosettes, second and third positions received rosettes. The first three positions in classes J, H and I were also awarded trophies and rosettes.In addition, cash prizes were given to participants in classes A, B, C, E, G1-G2 -- first position (QR300), second (QR200), third (QR150), Class D, G3 and K first position (QR400), second (QR300), third (QR200) and for class H, I, F - first (QR1000), second (QR800), third (QR650).The remaining classes received gift vouchers while highly recommended positions also collect a rosette each.The winners in the competition are as follows:
