Burger King’s new outlet at Woqod station

Burger King opened its first outlet at a Woqod station yesterday.The opening marked the beginning of a long-term commitment by Premier Food Services, a subsidiary of Al Jassim Group and Burger King franchisee in the state of Qatar and Woqod, the country’s leading petroleum and related services marketing company to enhance the diversity of offerings at the company’s services stations. Situated at the Woqod station in Al Rayyan, near Al Rayyan roundabout, the latest addition to Burger King’s network also makes it the first major food chain to establish a presence in Woqod’s fast-expanding network of fuel stations in the country. The official opening ceremony took place in the presence of Woqod vice chairman and managing director Mohamed Khalifa Turki al-Sobai and Al Jassim Group chairman Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Jassim al-Thani, besides a number of senior officials representing both companies.  Al-Sobai said, “This is a significant moment and marks the first such partnership between Woqod and Burger King in Qatar and we hope the partnership will add significant value to Woqod customers.”Al Jassim Group chairman Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Jassim al-Thani said, “Al Jassim Group and Burger King in Qatar are honoured  to embark on this long-term strategic partnership with Woqod. “Premier Food Services general manager Camile Aoun said ,“superior tasting products have long been our passion at Burger King. It was critically important therefore while establishing this outlet that we also demonstrate high levels of excellence in restaurant design and innovation.” The latest opening is the 14th Burger King outlet in Qatar, with  three more planned to open this year. Burger King is also launching its state-of-the-art home delivery call centre towards the third quarter of 2011.
