He said besides giving useful lessons to children, parents and teachers also have a responsibility to shape them into better citizens of future.
Indian Ambassador to Qatar Deepa Gopalan Wadhwa inaugurated the meeting.
School chairman C K Menon said it was a matter of immense satisfaction to the school’s governing council that the institution has made a name among the country’s residents in the first year of its inception itself.
Ministry of Interior (MoI) officials assistant director of South Security Department Col Salim al-Kaabi, Col Thalib Rashid al-Azbah (Traffic Department), head of exhibitions Lt Abdul al-Mana and head of technical service section Lt Col Nabeel Mohamed al-Jame and Supreme Education Council officials Tharfa al-Kuwari and Fousiya Abdul Azeez al-Khater and Asia Ali Bin Naser al-Misnad were among others present.
Col al-Kaabi gave away a memento of the MoI to the school chairman. The MoI also donated books on traffic awareness to the school library.
At the meeting, the school magazine Mirror 2011 was launched.
A host of cultural events were presented to mark the occasion.
Pushpa Rajan proposed a vote of thanks. Earlier school governing council general secretary P N Baburajan welcomed the gathering.
