Flavours from Lanka fest held

Minister of External Affairs, Prof. Peiris at the dinner held as part of the food festival

Sri Lankan Minister of External Affairs, Professor G L Peiris, who was on an official visit to Qatar this week, visited  the Sri Lankan Food Festival "Flavours from Sri Lanka” held at the Gulf Paradise Hotel.
A private function was arranged to which leaders of the Sri Lankan community and Sri Lankan Embassy officials were invited.
The general manager, Fouzi Mohideen along with Arrahazal Mostafa, the F&B manager and chef Gamini were present on the occasion.
The Food festival "Flavours from Sri Lanka” is an "annual event” coinciding with the Independence Day of Sri Lanka.
It has been held consecutively for the 3rd year. Two chefs are flown in from Cinnamon Lakeside - Colombo exclusively for the food festival.
Sri Lankan Airlines, Dilmah tea and Zam Gems have exhibited counters in the hotel lobby as main sponsors for the event.
