Members of Bangiya Parishad, a forum affiliated to the Indian Cultural Centre (ICC), recently organised "Poush Mela” at the ICC.
The "Poush Mela” is a Indian festival marked in the eastern parts of the South Asian nation.
The "Poush Mela” marks the end of the rice harvesting season.
Various types of traditional food items were prepared by Parishad’s members and put up for sale.
At the same function, Parishad president Zatish Nandy handed over a donation from the forum made out in the form of a cheque to Qatar Charity public relations and fund raising director Khalid A Fakhroo.
Welcoming the forum’s gesture, the Qatar Charity official recalled similar donations by Parishad in previous years.
Parishad members thanked the Qatar Charity official for attending the event.
