Four-billionth Nojoom reward point awarded

Nojoom, Qtel’s popular loyalty programme, issued the four-billionth (4,000,000,000) point to a member at the start of 2011.
About 2bn Nojoom points have been redeemed by customers in exchange for a huge range of experiences and exciting services.
Qtel said: "The incredible success of the programme, which provides points every time a member spends with Qtel or a Nojoom earn partner, has been boosted in recent weeks by the reworking of the Nojoom website, and our Nojoom AFC Asian Cup competition.”
Nojoom’s new website makes logging-on and registering easier, and enables customers to view their activities and account details. It also provides an interactive calculator, so that customers can see which rewards and experiences have earned sufficient points to redeem.
The popularity of the programme has also accelerated over the past week with the launch of AFC Asian Cup promotion. Every time a Shahry customer and Nojoom member’s national team scores a goal, they receive 200 Nojoom Points.
Australians in Qatar received an incredible bonus of 800 points from one match this week, with their team beating India 4-0, and many other peoples have received bonuses through some of the other competitive matches.

When customers register for the promotion, they will be selected automatically to support their home country team. If their national team is not participating in the AFC, they will be able to select from one of the 16 teams that are.
