Australia’s captain Lucas Neill is calling on all expatriates in Doha to show up at Al Sadd tonight

Grand Hyatt Doha is hosting an "Australian Celebrations” event from January 26 to February 4, a hotel spokesperson said yesterday.

Guests will be able to savour dishes at The Grill restaurant and take tours in the world of Australian art, while watching an exhibition "Unique Perspectives” by Australian nationals Jennifer Pinder (painter) and Kimberly Sheedy (photographer).

Meanwhile, the hotel said its team headed by general manager Garry Friend was supporting Australia at the ongoing AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011.

Australia play India tonight at the Al Sadd Stadium.

"On the eve of Australia’s opening match of the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2011 against India, Socceroos captain Lucas Neill is calling on all expatriates living in Doha to get along to the Al Sadd Stadium,” the official  said.

"Wherever we play around the world, we always get a big lift from Australian fans who come out and support us. Monday night will be no different and we are looking forward to seeing plenty of green and gold in the stands. On behalf of the Socceroos we really appreciate the support of our fans and I can assure you we will be doing our best to do our nation proud,” Neill said.

"We hope that as many fans as possible can join us on this Asian Cup journey,” he added.
