HSBC felicitates employees

The employees who were felicitated for their achievement
HSBC Bank Qatar has felicitated three of its Qatari employees who have completed different programmes of career development in 2010.
One of the employees, Khalifa al-Jaidah who has been part of the global markets department as a dealer since 2008, completed the HSBC Group Graduate Development Programme in Bricket Wood.
Bricket Wood, which is the official HSBC Group Management Training College in the UK, is a renowned training facility that specialises in banking and finance as well as management training courses.
Al-Jaidah, a graduate from the University of Kent at Canterbury in the UK, said: "I have always been interested in the dynamics of the global markets, global economy, financial markets and connectivity with
clients.”
Another employee, Noora al-Ansari was also felicitated having accomplished her 18-month executive training programme. 
She was appointed assistant manager in the Middle market enterprises team of the commercial banking department.
Al-Ansari, who joined HSBC as executive trainee after graduating with BABA from the Tepper School of Business in Carnegie Mellon University said: "I joined HSBC and joined the executive trainee programme with the future vision to become a leader in this dynamic financial
institution.”
The third employee, Hussain al-Abdullah who heads HSBC branches, recently returned from two-month secondment to Hong Kong. 
During the period, he took part in projects that supported his understanding of the global connectivity of HSBC and how the unique attribute of the bank enhances the services and products provided to
customers.
"I joined HSBC 11 years ago.  It is a privilege to work for an international bank that supports the development of junior as well as senior members of staff.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Hong Kong, where I was able to experience the diversity of our workforce but also able to see how the company’s values are universal,” al-Abdullah said.
HSBC chief executive officer Abdul Hakeem Mostafawi said: "Our commitment to develop local talent is unwavering and we will continue to invest in our employees. We are proud of all these three exceptional members of staff and know that their personal achievements will encourage their colleagues to utilise the vast opportunities for development offered by HSBC.”
