QNB, QFA sign three-year deal

QNB Group, the leading financial institution in Qatar and the Mena region, signed an agreement with the Qatar Football Association to sponsor the key championships for the next three years.The agreement, signed by HE Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa bin Ahmed al-Thani, President of Qatar Football Association and Qatar Stars League and Ali Shareef al-Emadi, the  Chief Executive Officer of  QNB Group entitles QNB to act as the strategic sponsor for the Qatar National football team and HH Emir Cup, HH the Heir Apparent Cup, and the official sponsor of  Sheikh Jassim Cup, and Qatar stars League as well as  the exclusive sponsor of Qatar Stars Cup.For his part, HE Sheikh Hamad expressed his sincere thanks to the QNB CEO for its support for Qatar football.HE Sheikh Hamad stressed that QNB has always been a supporter and participant in all key sport events organized in Qatar. HE added that the sponsorship will have a positive impact on the local football scene. He also called on all Qatari national institutions and companies to take QNB as an example  in their solid and continued support of activities such as sports, which represents an important part of our nation’s progress.Al-Emadi said that the  sponsorship is part of the Group’s policy  and   commitment of the to support the country in all the  local sports events and tournaments. QNB hopes to motivate the team to reach  International levels. “We always strive to achieve Qatar’s ultimate goal through sports association”, he added.Al-Emadi said that the achievements of the Football Association over the past years have attracted the attention of sports communities locally and internationally.
